Private events
At Quinta de Cabanas, booking the estate means the entire property is yours, no other guests, no shared spaces, no outside groups. You celebrate and sleep in the same place, with everyone you invited.
The base rate covers 10 bedrooms and suites for up to 20 guests. Groups of up to 32 can be accommodated with additional beds. When catering is provided by us, there are no additional event fees. If you prefer to bring your own catering, an external catering fee of €15 per guest applies, plus a €250 cleaning fee.

Designed for absolute freedom and safety, our estate is the ultimate sanctuary for families and groups of friends. Start your day with a competitive Padel tournament on our professional court, relax by the salt-treated pool, or gather around the traditional wood oven for a shared meal.
While adults unwind on the Rooftop with panoramic views, children can explore their own kingdom in our private playground. To ensure a worry-free stay, daily housekeeping is available upon request, allowing you to focus entirely on creating memories.

Elevate your team’s productivity in an environment of total privacy and focus. Our meeting room accommodates up to 50 participants, equipped with high-speed Fiber Wi-Fi and Starlink Satellite backup to always ensure seamless connectivity and maximum data performance.

Your guests arrive at different hours. No schedule waits for them, only a table when everyone is ready. The Estate's kitchen is already running.

Ceremony & Celebration
The ceremony can take place on the Estate (civil) or at the parish church, a few minutes away (religious). The Pergola, the Rooftop, the gardens, the space is yours to use as you see fit. The catering team works from the industrial kitchen, with an independent service entrance so nothing crosses your celebration.

Brunch & Sunset Party
The morning after, unhurried. Brunch on the terrace. The afternoon recovers. In the evening, the Douro does what it always does at sunset.

Day Off
The last morning belongs to no one in particular. Breakfast when it suits. The heated indoor pool. The valley. Departure at 11am, or later, if arranged in advance.

Family & Friends
1. Is the estate suitable for family holidays or groups of friends?
Yes. The estate has been designed to accommodate groups seeking comfort, space and quality time together. The gardens, communal areas, heated indoor pool and outdoor spaces create the perfect setting for socialising, relaxing and casual celebrations.
2. Is the property child-friendly?
Yes. The outdoor areas are spacious and safe, the pool is salt-treated, and we provide cots and high chairs free of charge. Families feel at ease and welcome from the moment they arrive.
3. Can we cook or enjoy meals together?
Yes. The fully equipped kitchen and the barbecue with wood-fired oven make mealtimes a special occasion. If you prefer, the private chef can prepare everything, from breakfasts to celebratory dinners.
4. Are there activities to suit all tastes?
Yes. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a games room, padel tennis, walking trails, a river, vineyards, culinary experiences and much more.
5. Can we have guests during the day?
Yes, subject to clear rules: external guests are charged €15 per person per day (minimum €500) and must be notified and authorised in advance.
6. Is the house suitable for large groups?
Yes. The standard capacity is 20 guests, with the option to add up to 12 extra beds (making a total of 32). In 9 of the 10 bedrooms, you can choose between a double bed or two single beds.
7. Can we extend our stay to spend more time together?
Yes. Many groups opt for stays of 2 to 4 nights, turning the experience into a real retreat for socialising and relaxation.

1. Is the estate exclusively for our wedding?
Yes. The property is always hired on an exclusive basis, ensuring complete privacy for your wedding and throughout your stay.
2. What is the guest accommodation capacity?
Accommodation for 20 guests as standard, up to 32 with extra beds. Ideal for the bride and groom, close family and closest friends.
3. Is there a plan B in case of rain?
Yes. The estate has elegant indoor and semi-outdoor spaces, suitable for ceremonies, cocktail receptions and dinners.
4. Is the catering logistics suitable for weddings?
Yes. The venue has a commercial kitchen, a separate service entrance and robust facilities for catering teams, florists, DJs and wedding planners.
5. Are there any additional costs for guests who are not staying overnight?
Yes:
• €15 for each additional guest (not staying overnight)
• €250 event cleaning fee
6. Are there noise regulations for weddings?
Yes. After 11 pm, the noise level must be kept to a minimum. To play music until 2 am, a special noise permit (€40) is required, which must be applied for 10 days in advance.
7. Is the estate suitable for international weddings?
Yes. The team can assist with logistics, transfers, suppliers and local recommendations

1. Does the estate guarantee complete privacy for our retreat?
Yes. The property is reserved exclusively for your group, with no other guests or resident staff.
2. Is the internet connection reliable enough for remote working and video conferences?
Yes. The estate has fibre-optic broadband and Starlink, ensuring a continuous connection.
3. What is the capacity of the meeting room?
Up to 50 participants, with a Smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, a flipchart and a coffee break.

Yes. Accommodation for 20 people as standard, up to 32 with extra beds.
